I hope I'm putting this in the right place, and I really didn't know what icon to use.
12 Jalapenos
3 oz. Cream cheese at room temp.
3 oz. each, shredded : Montery Jack & Sharp cheddar
3 tbsp. grated parmesan
1/3 cup beer...Must be room temp.
1/2 cup flour
1 lg. egg, beaten
salt & pepper to taste
bread crumbs
oil for deep frying
Slice the jalapenos lengthwise down one side. Remove the seeds if you don't want them to be too hot. Combine the cream cheese, Monterey Jack and sharp cheddar in a bowl, mixing well. Stuff into the peppers. Combine the parmesan, beer, flour, egg and seasonings. Mix well, batter will be thick. Dip each pepper into the batter then roll in bread crumbs. Freeze on a cookie sheet for one hour. Deep fry until golden brown.
I'd love to give credit where it is due but, all I know for sure is that this recipe came from a family member.
