Crumble Topping

This is a lovely crumb topping that is great to top coffee cake and other similar type dishes.

Crumble Topping

Ingredients:
1/3 cup brown sugar -packed
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp firm butter

NEAT TRICK! Freeze your butter and then use a cheese grater to grate the butter into the mixture for easier and even distribution in your mix!

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until "crumbly". That's it!

I like this one. I just might try this over the weekend. I am gonna make an apple pie.

This won't work on an apple pie I don't think. I think the sugars will melt into it too much and you'll have nothing to hold the pie together with.

Try using the other crumb topping specifically for pies that I posted.
