This is Jicama, I just purchased some yesterday and it tasts good!

THIS is Yucca root. I used this in my dish and it taste like a potato that is just a little sweet. But it is also USED like you would a potato. I found a wonderful recipe for Yucca cakes (kinda like crab cakes without the crab).
It sound delicious and looks appetizing too.
I mixed these two up because the frackin' fresh veggie market had them displayed under the wrong signs
So to clearify, I used the Yucca root in a Jicama recipe and that has to be the reason why the taste was not at all worth a good recommendation. I purchased some Jicama yesterday and immediately cut it open so I could taste. It is very good and not too sweet. I will try to make the salad shown in the last pic of post #1 in this thread. I will return with my report
