			<title><![CDATA[Hot Chocolate To DIE For!]]></title>

<span style="font-style: italic;" class="mycode_i">This is sinful, delicious, not convienient to make, but WELL worth the trouble. <br />
This is NOT Low calories!<br />

<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">calories:</span> Per 8 ounces - <br />
(with milk) 460<br />
(with 1/2 &amp; 1/2) 580<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: medium;" class="mycode_size"><span style="text-decoration: underline;" class="mycode_u"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Hot Chocolate To DIE For! </span></span></span><br />
<br />
For each cup, in a double boiler, combine:<br />
<br />
2 to 3 ounces milk chocolate I use Cadbury candy bars!<br />
1 teaspoon butter<br />
1/4 teaspoon vanilla<br />
<br />
Stir together until completely melted and smooth. Then add:<br />
<br />
1 cup half and half or cream I use whole milk if the latter is not on hand<br />
<br />
Add the half and half slowly, incorporating it gradually as it heats, but do not boil. <br />
Serve over a handful of mini marshmallows and garnish with a dash of nutmeg.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">variations:</span><br />
<span style="font-style: italic;" class="mycode_i">Substitute dark (semisweet) chocolate or white chocolate (very elegant!).<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Try adding liqueurs, ie:</span> Kahlua (for milk chocolate) <br />
Cointreau ( for dark chocolate) <br />
Peppermint Schnapps (for white chocolate)</span>]]></description>

This is a distinctly South American drink and it's still popular in South America today.<br />

<span style="font-style: italic;" class="mycode_i">This is the correct spelling, and if the descriptions of the Cortez party<br />
are correct, then this is the drink. When the Aztecs were drinking a<br />
beverage made from the cacao tree it tasted nothing like what we know in<br />
our time. The drink that Montezuma loved, and supposedly drank by the<br />
potful, had hot pepper in it and no sugar at all. After reading some of the<br />
responses of the Europeans to the beverage, I have developed the following<br />
easy recipe. I doubt that you will be drinking this every morning but it is<br />

<span style="font-size: medium;" class="mycode_size"><span style="text-decoration: underline;" class="mycode_u"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Spiced Cider</span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">Ingredients:</span><br />
One Gallon apple cider (get the good stuff that is all cloudy and you have to shake, not that clear crap that looks like apple juice)<br />
<br />
4 tablespoons honey<br />
8 cinnamon sticks<br />
2 teaspoons whole cloves<br />
One Lemon sliced up<br />
Butter *optional<br />
<br />
Put all this in a nice big pot and bring to a boil. Simmer at least 30 mins and then remove the lemon slices and spices.<br />
<br />
Serve hot with a  cinnamon stick as a stirrer.<br />
Add a spash of spiced rum if you like.<br />
Put a small pat of butter if you like.]]></description>
