I spend most of my summer time weekends Canningfrom my gardenand smoking foods for the week. In the winter i will fire the oven up and continue the summer tradition, cooking way to much for my family.<br />

I found this site through my participation on another forums site. I don't think I have ever been a member of a site devoted to cooking so I am really looking forward to this. I am most interested in preparing red meat and fish dishes. I love green veggies and soups (most any variety). With colder weather on its' way, I would also love to learn how to prepare a wonderful "fresh" minestrone (would like to do more with vermicelli). I was once a vegetarian (non-vegan) and I once hung out with the  frugivore community in Los Angeles...hahaha. Some of my favorite foods to eat are as follows:<br />

favorite meat: lamb<br />
favorite fish: King fish and red snapper<br />
favorite pasta: vermicelli<br />
favorite fruit: mango (and all varieties of melon)<br />
favorite legume: crowder and navy<br />
