This is an old favorite in our house around parties and holidays. It's easy to make and it goes great with chips of almost any sort. It's not low calorie by any stretch of the imagination but not everyone is watching their calories!
So, make a pint of this dip, put it out in the center of a bowl of chips and watch it disappear!
French Onion Dip
Ingredients:
1 packet of dried French Onion Soup mix
1 pint of sour cream
Mix one packet of the soup mix with the sour cream in a bowl until well blended. Set in a covered container in the refrigerator for at least an hour for the dried onions to reconstitute and the flavors to blend.
Mix up and serve with chips.
Note: sometimes this dip will settle with some liquid on the top. This is ok, just mix it up and serve it!
This dip will keep up to a week in the fridge.
