Want to avoid the dreaded gray ring around the yolk~telltale sign of over cooked egg?

Place eggs in cold water in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with about 1"cold water.

Bring the water to a boil,cover tightly,remove from heat and let stand 20 minutes.

Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and let stand until eggs are completely cooled.
