Scottish Shortbread? Oh Sarah.....
#1
Sarah, do you have a recipe for REAL Scottish Shortbread?
I posted a recipe in the cookies section but I'm not sure it's authentic. I've had imported shortbread and when I make this recipe, it tastes exactly the same to me but I can't be sure enough to put the wording "Real" in the post.

I had a look at your recipe, it is the recipe for basic shortbread, so it may very well be the same recipe as the one you tasted, I'm not sure about the Scottish recipe.
I added in the recipe we use in college, its Irish shortbread, its got a few more ingredients but it's really good.

I've been using that recipe for ages and there are variations to add stuff to it for all kinds of things.

But had a look at yours and it was the almonds that is missing! ooooh I'm going to make shortbread soon!

I love dunking them in coffee for breakfast! Heart
