Brownie Ice cream cake
#1
1 eight inch pan of brownies
ice cream to cover brownies
1 can frosting opt.
1 Freezer

slice brownies in half, cover bottom half with icecream, cover with other brownies, chill half an hour, remove from freezer, cover with canned frosting, remove from freezer 15 min. before eating, top with whip cream if desired.

Use either home made or packaged brownie mix and completely cool brownies before adding ice cream.
Ice cream can either be soft or firm cut to the size of the brownies.
I used chocolate/vanilla ice cream for the filling and cream cheese frosting for the icing.
I froze the cake for 2 hrs before eating and took it out about 15 minutes before eating and put some whipped cream on top.
keep uneaten pieces in the freezer.
have fun and try diffferent flavors of ice cream and brownie mixes.

feel free to omit the salamanders. My niece wanted to help me by typing the directions for me.
unfortunately I got called away and didn't get back in time to make corrections.

I put the rest of the instructions into the original post for you, Pickles and deleted it from this one. And tell Robin I'm sorry but I took out her salamanders because I didn't want to gross anyone out. Awink ~ Twitchin Kitten

Thanks so much for sharing this with everyone!

I might give this a go one day soon. Matt's birthday is coming up and so is my moms.

I think you would be able to substitute any kind of cake filling in there too and you can use some kind of whipped cream for frosting.

I also posted a TON of really cool cake glaze types of frostings that just might go well on an ice cream cake too! Check them out.

Ooohhh, that sounds so good, it REALLY speaks to my big, honking sweet tooth, particularly at this moment.

Any of pickles' posts can get you fat lickety split!

I like this one though because I can make it for a party that requires cake for the guests and as long as I have the willpower not to eat the whole thing.... I'm good!

Matt says I'm the only person he knows who can find peace with ice cream. Giggle
