Scones - Pickles - 04-05-2008
2 cups flour
1/4 cup Crisco/ shortening
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1/8 C Sugar (yes that is right)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 -1/3 cups currants
1 cup buttermilk

mix in order.. knead a few times--use a 9 " round cake pan..cover with milk and sugar bake 15-20 minutes at 450 degrees. test in middle of pan for doneness
