NO-BAKE cheesecake and graham crust - Angie - 11-03-2008

I was feeling creative and wanted to make something that wasn't to time consuming and relatively simple. I also had a taste for pineapples and a good home made cheesecake so I figured...what the heck!

Poke As I sit here reading this, I have my graham cracker crumb crust recipe in front of me getting ready to post!

get out of my head girl!

That's a good idea for a fast no bake cheesecake. Did you see my NY cheesecake recipe? I'm a cheesecake purist. I like mine plain, no fruit, no toppings, no chocolate swirled into it...... It's easy to make, but OMG it's sooooo sinful and delicious. It melts in your mouth and guess what? you can freeze it!

Yep, bake it, cool it and slice it. Then freeze it. Takes like half hour to thaw one slice. Kind of like you freezing shortbread cookie dough Angel

ah-ha!

I'm learning more and more about you with each post...hahaha. I know you are a pizza purist and now I know you are a cheesecake purist Tongue1

I came here first to look for a no-bake recipe but yours needed to be baked so I couldn't make it at that moment. I also looked for a graham cracker crust here first.

I think I will be looking for cakes next. I have to wait on my red velvet cake because hubby says he doesn't really like those as much [his b-day is at the end of the month] I am gonna surprise him with that sea food dish for his b-day and maybe I can make a nice cake for him too. I know he loves lemon cake and carrot cake.

My mom is a lemon cake specialist! What kind of cake are you thinking of making? Two layer? Simple?

Mom makes it in a single layer similar to a bundt or angel food pan and then sprinkles powdered sugar on it. Or if she's in a mood, will frost it with whipped cream frosting. I will try to get her secret recipe for you if you like!

I'll get the graham cracker crust out now.... I think I did put regular pie crust but that won't do for cheesecakes! Or chocolate pudding pie, or , or, or..... Giggle
